When the scene begins, Mason is at the tail end of telling Peter about what they know concerning Kelly, and then he goes into how Augusta knows that they're after the beachfront property. He accuses Peter of double crossing. Mason asks Veronica to takes notes for him at a meeting he's holding with bankers that night at the Capwell Hotel. Two-Way Mirror (Veronica, Peter, and Lionel) - Later Peter and Veronica inspect the secret window and microphone installed in a supply closet next to the Presidential suite at the Capwell Hotel. Mason frequently uses the suite to conduct business and Peter plans on spying on him. Later yet, Veronica tells Lionel about the secret room and the meeting Mason is holding with bankers concerning the beachfront property.
