Lane Davies is the celebrity guest host for the Every Now
and Then Theatre's 18th year radio drama of Charles
Dickens' "Christmas Carol- A Ghost Story." Goldcoast
Broadcasting's AM 1520 KVTA will broadcast the locally
produced ghost story and stream it over their website at
kvta.com, commercial free, on Monday December 24th at
12pm, 5pm and 10pm and on Tuesday December 25th at
7am. Past Celeb hosts for those shows include Cheryl
Ladd, Charlene Tilton, Jamie Farr, Tim Conway and
Stephanie Zimbalist.

The Santa Susana Repertory Company has changed it's
name to The Thousand Oaks Repertory Company. Also,
Lane will be performing in their production of
'A
Christmas Carol'.

From
Tennessee Middle State University Theatre and
Dance, on Nov 2-3 and Nov. 7-10 at 7:30 nightly, William
Shakespeare’s classic titled Rome and Juliet will be
performed on the stage of Tucker Theatre in the BDA.
Audience members, Gibson said, “will be transported to
the land of lavish Elizabethan England in our production
that will come to life vividly on the stage, as two star-
crossed lovers share their tragic but inspiring tale of love
and peace.”
The classic tale will feature astounding costumes and
scenery, as well as brilliant performances, he added.
Additionally, this production will showcase guest artist
Lane Davies, MTSU alumnus, as Capulet.

TICKETS: MTSU Theatre & Dance tickets are available
at the door only – no advance tickets are distributed.

The
Valhalla Shakespeare Project presenting Lane Davies
and Ruth Cordell as stars of their fall production of The
MERCHANT of VENICE. Ruth appears as “Portia,” the
wealthy heiress whose beauty is matched only by her
intelligence, while Lane portrays the volatile “Shylock,”
the Jewish moneylender intent on revenge. Performances
took place at Valhalla Farms in Cannon County, 3081
Jimtown Rd., in Bradyville, Tennessee on October 6, and
October 7, at 3 PM matinees and were free to the general
public. And in collaboration with sister company,
Green
Room Projects’ Naked Stages, Thursday, October 11,
inaugurating Belmont Univerisity’s new Black Box
Theater, 2100 Belmont Boulevard. Additional
performances run October 12-14 and 17-20. All
performances start at 7:30 except for our Sunday
matinee, which is at 4 pm. Tickets for these shows are $20
for adults and $15 for students and can be purchased
through the Belmont University ticket system. Read the

Lane played the role of John Barrymore in The Tennessee
Repertory Theatre's production of 'I Hate Hamlet' in
May 2007. Go

Lane and Chad Brannon were in public performances of
'Hamlet' on February 2 and 3. A reception followed.


Lane took on the role of the Ghost of Christmas Present,
and Ruth Cordell was the Ghost of Christmas Past at the
Lamplighters Theatre in Smyrna Tennessee. The show ran
from Dec. 3 - Dec. 10 with performances at 7:30 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays.


Lane directed and played the role of Oberon in 'A
Midsummer Night's Dream' for the Kingsmen
Shakespeare Festival. Dates were June 30, July 1, 2, 7, 8,
9, 14, 15, 16, 2006.


Lane appeared as the black sheep of the family in 'The
Royal Family', at the Dalton Little Theater. 'The Royal
Family' is a comedy co-written by George S. Kaufman
and Edna Ferber and is loosely based on the Barrymore
family of actors. This production was directed by Lane's
brother, George, and served as a memorial tribute to
Emily Davies, mother to Lane, and long-time supportive
of theater in Dalton, Georgia. Show times were as follows:
May 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 & 13 at 8 PM and one matinée on
Sunday, May 7 @ 2 PM. (2006)

Lane directed and played the role of Oberon in 'A

Civic Arts Plaza at Thousand Oaks, CA. Dates were
February 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2006.
February 6 - 10th were performances for school groups.


Lane played the role of Dysart in Equus, directed by John
J. Kelly at the Brown Theatre Complex in Monroe, LA.
Performances were held Nov. 17, 18, and 19, 2005 at 7:

Lane held a "Meet Our Guest," which is a format similar
to the TV show "Inside the Actors' Studio" and that
allowed audience members to not only get to know the
background of Davies, but share in his wisdom regarding
acting. Audience members also had a question and
answer session with the actor. "Meet Our Guest" was
scheduled for Friday November 4, 2005 at 7 p.m. in
Spyker Theatre on the ULM campus. Admission was free.

Lane conducted his workshop, "Essential Shakespeare,"
scheduled for Friday, November 11, 2005 at 3 p.m., in the
Spyker Theatre.


Lane played George Page Merry Wives of Windsor at the
Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival held on the campus of
California Lutheran University. Shows were held July 15,
16, 17, 29, 30, 31, August 5, 6, 7, 2005.


Richard III - A Kingsmen Shakespeare Company
Production held on the campus of California Lutheran
University. He played the part of Richard III. Shows were
held on July 1, 2, 3; July 8, 9, 10; and July 22, 23, 24,2005


Lane is working to help establish the Tennessee
Shakespeare Festival, a summer theater
company in partnership with MTSU and the
Tennessee Repertory Theatre that will be housed
at the Webb School in Bell Buckle. The first
production is planned for the summer of 2008,
and will feature "A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
A good friend of mine got the chance to speak
with Lane after a showing of "The Merchant of
Venice", and reports back that Lane is
extremely excited about this project.
